Join us on a
Spring Drive to tour Mounds!
When the first Europeans came into the land they called Ohio, there were over a 1000 different mounds that covered the landscape. Unfortunately, only a small fraction of that remain today.
Join us for the day, as we lead a caravan of cars through South Western Ohio to see some of that remain.
We are meeting up at the Bratton Township Building, west of Serpent Mound, and south of the hamlet of Louden. For those closer to Cincinnati, who would like to meet us at our first destination instead, call and register with us, so we know how many to expect.

Attendees: Please, call 937-205-0094 to register to participate, space is limited.
Maximum limit: 27, plus the 2 drivers & Jeffrey Wilson our guide, in two 15-passanger vans.
Please bring: Appropriate clothes for the weather, and you may bring drinks & snacks or lunch. We will be stopping at a fast food place for lunch.
While the tour will take us to 6 specific Mounds Sites, there will be other mounds, earthworks, and historic sites that will also be pointed out along the way.

Miamisburg Mound
The 1st stop on the tour will be to visit Miamisburg Mound.

Calvery Cemetery Hilltop Enclosure Earthworks
The 2nd stop on the tour will be to visit the hilltop enclosure earthworks in the Calvery Cemetery.

Wright Brothers Memorial Mounds
The 3rd stop on the tour after taking a quick detour through a fast food stop, will take us to the Wright Brothers Memorial Mounds.

Orator’s Mound & Yellow Springs
The 4th stop on the tour will be to Orator’s Mound & Yellow Springs, which sits inside the Glenn Helen State Park. There is a entrance fee, and a hike.

Indian Mound Reserve (Williamson Mound and
Pollack Earthworks)
The 5th stop on the tour will be to the Indian Mound Reserve, where we will visit the Williamson Mound and Pollack Earthworks enclosure. There is a hike to see these.
